Dissertation title: The essence of the virtual school practicum: A phenomenological study of pre-service teachers’ experience in a virtual school;
served as researcher, teacher, colleague, pursued and completed a PhD in curriculum and instruction with a concentration in the use of educational
technologies in classrooms and in online learning environments. Taught Integrating Technology into the Elementary/PreK Curriculum (EME4401) –
undergraduate-level pre-service teacher education course - taught three-hour block five sections over four semesters; set up student assessments;
created lesson plans; graded students’ work; set up a course management site in Moodle – Open-source learning management system, where
students had a blended experience, participating in discussion boards and accessing additional materials/resources. Taught Foundations of
Educational Technology (EME5054 – Graduate-Level Education Course for Ed.D. cohort; co-taught online – 1 section alongside Dr. Kara Dawson; set
up a course management site in Moodle; helped to brainstorm ideas for how to present the course online; assisted in assessing students’ work;
participated in discussion board conversations. Co-coordinated practicum experiences with Dr. Cathy Cavanaugh for pre-service teachers.

undergraduate-level pre-service teacher education course - taught three-hour block five sections over four semesters; set up student assessments;
created lesson plans; graded students’ work; set up a course management site in Moodle – Open-source learning management system, where
students had a blended experience, participating in discussion boards and accessing additional materials/resources. Taught Foundations of
Educational Technology (EME5054 – Graduate-Level Education Course for Ed.D. cohort; co-taught online – 1 section alongside Dr. Kara Dawson; set
up a course management site in Moodle; helped to brainstorm ideas for how to present the course online; assisted in assessing students’ work;
participated in discussion board conversations. Co-coordinated practicum experiences with Dr. Cathy Cavanaugh for pre-service teachers.
